The best time for a Tanzania safari is the dry season from late June to October, when wildlife gathers near water and Mara River crossings peak in August and September. December to March is excellent for the Serengeti calving season around Ndutu, with births from late January to February. The long rains from March to May bring fewer visitors and green landscapes.
