14 Day Tanzania Safari Itinerary: Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro crater.

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania

 Pick up at the airport ready to start  14  Day Tanzania Safari Holidays  Vacation | Class African Safaris. Our safari guide will meet you at the airport and drive you to Arusha Mount Meru Hotel we booked for you. BB- bed and breakfast is included.

Day 2: Tarangire Safari Lodge, Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at the Hotel, your Tanzania safaris adventure begins, leaving early to the Tarangire National park around 8:30 am. This is the third largest park in Tanzania and it is characterized by the amazingly large herds of elephants that can be encountered in this park. 

The Baobab trees are one of the other highlights of Tarangire and the Tarangire River that flows all year round is the lifeblood of the park. Many animals; predators and the preys alike gather around the river where you can do excellent game viewing. Dinner & Overnight is at Tarangire Safari Lodge.

Day 3:  Tarangire Safari Lodge, Tarangire National Park

Departure from the lodge early mornings on safari are a must, as this time offers the best wildlife viewing opportunities. Wake-up is usually before sunrise! Enjoy a hot beverage and a light breakfast before heading out on your first game drive of the day. 

Morning game drives can be long, and can be cool and crisp. Blankets are often provided for in the lodge or tented camps, but be prepared with warm clothing that can be removed as the sun rises and the day warms. Day 4:  Tarangire Safari Lodge, Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart your lodge with a packed lunch and drive to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy your day with game drives in the park and lunch at a picnic site. Late afternoon arrive at your lodge for check-in, dinner, and overnight. Day 5: Tarangire Safari Lodge  to Lake Manyara

After your breakfast, and then we drive to Lake Manyara National Park for your impressive travel trips.  This impressive National Park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley Western escarpment. 

Tarangire National Park varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of Elephants; Manyara is famous for a Tree-climbing lion, as well as. Dinner and overnight at  Karatu Kitela Lodge

Day 6:  Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast in the lodge depart with picknic lunch box from the lodge for another scenic game drive in the lake.  Dinner and overnight at  Karatu Kitela Lodge

Day 7: Karatu Kitela Lodge to Ngorongoro Crater

After a relaxing morning and an early breakfast at the lodge, you will have an early in the en-route game drive into Ngorongoro crater top destination where you can spot the Big5 if you are lucky enough.  Proceed directly to the crater floor for your tour with a picnic lunch down the crater whereby you will be able to see all the “Big Five”.
Later, you will proceed back to Ngorongoro Serena lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater tours

After the breakfast in the lodge you will departure with packed lunch box descend to Ngorongoro crater for another game drive within the Ngorongoro crater. After stunning wildlife viewing you will back to the Ngorongoro Serena lodge for dinner and overnight 

Day 9: Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will start your Tanzania safaris head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. 

Head to the Central Park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the Park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch at Nabi gate and enjoy the late 2hrs afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight Kati Kati tented Camp. or Kubu kubu tented lodge. 

Day 10: Serengeti game drive

After breakfast, you will have a Northern Tanzania Safari game viewing at Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti, Tanzania’s largest National Park, covers nearly 6,000 square miles of grassland plains. Central Serengeti’s Seronera Valley is a year-round game-viewing. 

With Savannah, kopjes, hills, woodlands, and River line forest systems serve as critical water sources. It’s often an excellent site for wildlife viewing. Beyond the heralded migration of wildebeest and zebra, the Serengeti is best known for its big predators, including cheetah and Leopard, as well as large pride of Lions and clans of Hyenas and many animals. Day 11: Central Serengeti game drive

After breakfast, continues with both morning and afternoon game drives in Central Serengeti National Park during your trip Serengeti wildebeest Migration Safari. Remember this is the migration safari, so as Serengeti is very large as your game drives will depend on the move of the migrants, your guide knows very well how to locate the herds. 

The Serengeti National Park is famous for the ‘Great Migration’, with over one million wildebeest and two hundred thousand plus zebras each year follow the rains. In October and November, they travel from the mountains of the north, southwards to the plains seeking lush pastures. 

After the great rainy season in April, May, and June the herds then make their return ward journey. Even without this mass migration, the Serengeti is still an exciting and spectacular place that still cannot fail to enthrall Dinner and overnight at dinner and overnight at Kubu kubu tented lodge.

Day 12: Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti

After having breakfast, you will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park. You will have en route game viewing from central Serengeti to Northern.  Since Serengeti is very large, your game drives will depend on the move of the migrants. 

Your guide knows very well how to locate the herds. Serengeti National Park is famous for the ‘Great Migration’ of more than one million wildebeest and two hundred thousand zebras each year during trips.

In October and November, they travel from the mountains of the north southwards to the plains, seeking lush pastures. After the great rainy season in April, May, and June, the herds then make their return journey. Even without this mass migration, Serengeti is still an exciting and spectacular place that will not fail to enthrall. You will have dinner and stay overnight at  Mara Under Canvas Tented Camp

Day 13: Northern Serengeti

Migration Safari in Tanzania. After having breakfast, you will experience a game drive following the animal migration at the Northern Serengeti for a Migration Safari in Tanzania. You can see wildebeests, zebras, topi hartebeests, elands, antelopes, hyenas, and various birds singing on the trees while viewing the beautiful landscape and nature.

Usually, in July, August and the beginning of November, the migration reaches its northern range in which the herds cross the grasslands on either bank of the crocodile-infested Mara River twice, as they complete their migration. 

You will also be able to enjoy the sunset at Serengeti between 18:20 – 18:40 after the game drive before returning and staying overnight at Mara Under Canvas Tented Camp

Day 14: End of Itinerary

Fly from the Serengeti to Arusha Airport. A transfer vehicle awaits you at Arusha airport to take you for lunch. After lunch, you are transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport to connect with your international flight.
