Upon entering the park, the landscape immediately transforms into a wilderness teeming with life. Day 4: Journey to the Serengeti – Endless Plains
Today, we embark on a scenic drive to the legendary Serengeti National Park. A name synonymous with African safari. As you enter the endless plains, you’ll understand why it’s called “Siringet” by the Maasai, meaning “the land that moves on endlessly.” The Serengeti is renowned for the Great Wildebeest Migration (seasonal). Situated at the foot of Mount Meru, Tanzania’s second-highest peak, this park boasts stunning landscapes ranging from montane forests and rolling hills to acacia woodlands and alkaline lakes. Here, you’ll meet your Kilimanjaro National Park guide and begin a day hike to the Mandara Hut (approximately 8,860 feet or 2,700 meters). The trail winds through lush rainforest.
