Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Arusha

Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be picked up at the airport and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is free. Relax, take a stroll, and enjoy the sights and sounds. Get plenty of rest – tomorrow will be huge! Dinner and Overnight at ilboru Safari lodge.

Day 2: Arusha – Arusha National Park

You will depart from Arusha Town in the morning with your private guide and travel to Arusha National Park, it’s only a short 40-minute drive from Arusha Town. Your day trip includes a visit to the Ngurdoto Crater which is well known as the “Little Ngorongoro”.

After a delicious picnic lunch, you will continue your Tanzania safari package within the Arusha National Park. After plenty of time observing the wildlife, you will return to Arusha where your safari ends. Day 3: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

The day starts with a hearty breakfast and briefing with your tour guide. From Arusha, we drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The park covers 330 sq. km, 70% of which is occupied by the lake. The varied ecosystem consists of groundwater forests, acacia woodland, and open grassland along the lakeshore and sustains a wealth of wildlife, including the Big Five -lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, and buffalo. The park is famous for the elusive tree-climbing lions that inhabit the woodland between the lake and the Rift Valley. It is also an ornithologists’ paradise and is host to over 400 species of birds. Dinner and overnight at Kitela Lodges.

Day 4: Tarangire National Park

After having breakfast at the lodge, you will leave early to Tarangire National park. It is the third-largest park in Tanzania and characterized by the amazingly large herds of elephants that can be encountered. The Baobab trees are one of the other 12 Days Great Migration Safari Kenya and Tanzania.

Tarangire River that flows all year round is the lifeblood of the park. Many animals, predators, and their preys gather around the river and you can do excellent game viewings. You will stay Dinner and overnight at Kitela Lodges.

Day 5: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

The breakfast will be at 06:00. Picked up from the camp at 07:00 while bringing packed picnic lunch and drive to Serengeti National Park. Enjoy game drives en route via Ngorongoro Crater rim. You will have two-hour late afternoon game drive

Serengeti National Park is one of the most famous national parks on earth, renowned for its magnificent lions and the great migration. It is the home of lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffalos, zebras, wildebeest, elands, wild dogs, gazelles, crocodiles, and more. You will stay overnight at Katikati Tented Camp.

Day 6: Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti

After having breakfast, you will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park. Since Serengeti is very large, your game drives will depend on the move of the migrants. Your guide knows very well how to locate the herds. Serengeti National Park is famous for the ‘Great Migration’ of more than one million wildebeest and two hundred thousand zebras each year.

In October and November, they travel from the mountains of the north southwards to the plains, seeking lush pastures. After the great rainy season in April, May, and June, the herds then make their return journey. Even without this mass migration, Serengeti is still an exciting and spectacular place that will not fail to enthrall. You will have dinner and stay overnight at Mara Mara Under Canvas/ Mara Katikati tented camp/ Mara Tented Lodge. Or Gnue Mara Tented camp

Day 7- 8: Northern Serengeti

Migration Safari in Tanzania. After having breakfast, you will experience a game drive following the animal migration at the Northern Serengeti for a Migration Safari in Tanzania. You can see wildebeests, zebras, topi hartebeests, elands, antelopes, hyenas, and various birds singing on the trees while viewing the beautiful landscape and nature.

Usually, in July, August and the beginning of November, the migration reaches its northern range in which the herds cross the grasslands on either bank of the crocodile-infested Mara River twice, as they complete their migration. You will also be able to enjoy the sunset at Serengeti between 18:20 – 18:40 after the game drive before returning and staying overnight at Mara Mara Under Canvas/ Mara Katikati tented camp/ Mara Tented Lodge. Day 9: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Safari in Tanzania: After having breakfast, you will experience a game viewing in Serengeti for three hours. Then, you will proceed with a game en-route and arrive at the Nabi gate to have lunch. You will then proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area to have dinner and stay overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Eyasi

On this day, you will start early at 07:00 for a game drive for 5hrs (with a picnic lunch) in the Ngorongoro Crater tour for 5-6hrs. As animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 feet high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species.

Your driver/guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals. After all the great explorations in Ngorongoro Crater, you will go to Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge for Dinner and Overnight. 

Day 11:  Lake Eyasi: Hadzabe & Datoga Tribe to Arusha

The tour will start around 5 am and head to Lake Eyasi to go hunting with the Hadzabe Bushmen, one of the last hunter-gatherer societies in the world. After your morning hunt, you will visit the Datoga tribe, skilled craftsmen, and blacksmiths.

After your amazing cultural experience, you will be transferred to Arusha. Dinner and overnight at ilboru Safari lodge.

Day 12: Arusha to Kilimanjaro, Mandara hut

On the first day, you have to drive about 2 hrs through Kilimanjaro in the morning the semi-tropical foothills to the Marangu area which situated on the south-eastern side of the mountain. On arrival at Marangu gate, you meet your team of guides and porters, pick up any last-minute supplies for the trek, and head to the entrance of Mount Kilimanjaro National Park to register for the climb. From the cluster of buildings at the gate, it is some four to five hours walk through patches of coffee plantation and dense rainforest to Mandara Hut.

After the tour we will direct take you to Kilimanjaro Airport. This will be the end of your tour and safari with us.
