You will see all that Tarangire National Park is known for – the famous ancient baobab trees, tree climbing pythons, and the largest concentration of African elephants, lions, leopards, cheetah.

Affordable Kilimanjaro Day Hike

Pick up from Arusha -Trekking from Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut and descend back. Pick up at hotel in Arusha at 7:00am in morning after breakfast. Depart with packed lunch boxes plus mineral water. We will transfer you from Arusha to Marangu gate which will take almost 2-hour drive. After reaching Kilimanjaro National Park’s eastern entrance: Marangu Gate (1,860 m/6,046 f)).

You will have quick formality of registering the climbing permits and registering with the rescue service, then you will start trekking up to Mandara Hut (2,700 m/8,858 ft ). The trekking route includes a passage through the rainforest where tropical showers are highly probable, so we recommend taking raincoats.

When you reach the camp, you will be provided with lunch-boxes and mineral water.

After lunch you can take a hike to the beautiful Maundi Crater nearby. It will take about 30 minutes, after which you will start your descent down to the exit of the park – Marangu gate. There our driver will pick you up and drive you to your hotel in the town of Arusha.

At the end of your safari, Foot Slopes Tours and Safaris Ltd will drop you off at the airport.

Farewell Day: Transfer to Airport (Arusha/Kilimanjaro)

You will be amazed by the amount of wildlife you can find on this mountain, the vegetation is stunning all the way, and Meru simply isn’t as overrun as Kilimanjaro.

Early in the morning, normally around 7am, you are collected from your hotel with a packed lunch and transferred to Arusha National Park. At Momella Gate we complete registration formalities and collect our Ranger before driving to the very end of the road to Kitoto View Point.

From here we trek for up to 4 hours through the Afromontane forest and into the crater before heading back to the car. Now you can take your time, overlooking the outstanding views and taking in the morning’s events. A morning hike on the beautiful slopes of the incredible Mt Meru with an excursion into the crater before returning for a picnic at Kitoto View Point.

In the afternoon you have the option to either call it a day or be transferred home or to spend a bit more time and wind your way through the national park (at no additional cost) before heading back.

Later in the afternoon you will meet our car waiting for you. Our representative will picking up and transfer back to airport or hotel where you will overnight.

Note: You can extend your safari trip to Kilimanjaro or Serengeti as you wish we can design it for you according to your preference. At the end of tour we will drop you off to the airport or bus station.
