Elewana Serengeti Pioneer Camp is located within the Moru Kopjes region in the southern part of the Central Serengeti plains.
Moru Kopjes are rocky outcrops of historical significance: here you can find ancient Maasai paintings and hear phenomenal musical gong rocks.
From here, guests can catch the dramatic view of the Great Migration when wildebeests and zebras are passing there from June to August. A 30-minute drive will take you to the Lake Magadi where you can enjoy the view of pink flamingos and other varied birdlife of Serengeti.
Starting from the secluded Elewana Serengeti Pioneer Camp and its bush surroundings, you can experience the adventure of Central Serengeti safari to its fullest, watching the Big Five of African savannah – a lion, a leopard, a buffalo, an elephant and a rhino.
Moru Kopjes is home to the only black rhinoceros population in Serengeti! Only the luckiest ones have the chance to see rhinos whose numbers have declined dramatically in the recent years. So be one of them!
