Day 0: Arrival Day – Pick Up From Airport
Meet on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport/Arusha Airport. Transfer to Hotel in Arusha for an overnight stay. Accommodation: Venice Arusha (fullboard)
Day 1: Arusha To Tarangire National Park
After breakfast departure at 6:30am, after you meet an office representative for a briefing about your safari, then take 2 hours’ drive to Tarangire National Park. Along the way, you will take in the scenic views of the grassland plains speckled with the ancient baobab trees, traditional Maasai houses, and cattle being herded by the nomadic people.
You will see all that Tarangire National Park is known for – the famous ancient baobab trees, tree climbing pythons, and the largest concentration of African elephants, lions, leopards, cheetah.
This area is during the dry season also a haven for bird watchers with over 550 different species including the Masai Ostrich -the world largest bird. Around lunchtime, you will stop at a suitable picnic place before the afternoon is dedicated to more wildlife watching.
The park is truly a photographer’s playground and offers some of the best game viewing in the world. You can expect to see many of Africa’s most well-known animals, with the tree-climbing lions a particular treat. These proud predators lounge in acacia trees practically begging to be photographed. Later in the evening back to Arusha. Dinner and over night at the hotel we booked for you.
Day 2: Farewell Day: Transfer to Airport (Arusha/Kilimanjaro airport)
