After breakfast, you are met by English speaking safari tour guide who will conduct a short briefing before departure. There after drive to the east to the Arusha National Park. Small by size but among the places in the world it is the closest national park to both the famous Arusha city alias the Geneva of Africa (30 kms) as well as the Kilimanjaro International Airport, thus making it ideal for 1-day tours. Arusha national park is not only green all year round, but it is one of the most beautiful and topographically varied parks in Tanzania. The park’s three most significant features include the rugged Mount Meru (Tanzania’s second highest peak at 4,566m), the notably different colored Momella Lakes, and the 3 kms wide Ngurdoto Crater, which was naturally formed about fifteen million years ago! You will have a hot Lunch at the picnic lunch at the shores of the Momella Lakes will remain in your memory for years with http://localhost/foot/images of the Flamingos and the fabulous views of mount Meru and Kilimanjaro mountain. After lunch, continue with a game to the Ngurdoto Crater. Expected wildlife to be seen in the areas includes African buffalo, elephants, hippos, giraffe, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, blue monkeys and sometimes if lucky, you can see leopard and hyena. Late afternoon drive back to the African tulip Hotel for overnight. Dinner and breakfast is included
We will collect you from your hotel after breakfast in Arusha and following a 2-3 hour drive, you will arrive at the Tarangire National Park. In this region, Hemmingway often went on big game hunting safaris. After the formation of the national parks in 1970, they turned the seasonal marshes and the endless savannah that one sees today into, once again, profitable hunting grounds. Today however, cameras thankfully have replaced the elephant guns. The Tarangire National Park has the highest density of elephants in North Tanzania and you can view these animals all year round in which the herds often can reach an impressive number of 300 animals. The Tarangire River has water all year round and during the dry season, between July and October, many animals from the surrounding areas come to the river for drinking. If you visit the park during the dry season, you will witness an unforgettable natural wonder as you can observe wonderful creatures such as lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests and zebras as well as various types of antelopes and gazelles and with a little luck, you can also spot a python! This area is during the dry season also a haven for bird watchers with over 550 different species including the Masai Ostrich -the world largest bird. Around lunchtime, you will stop at a suitable picnic place before the afternoon is dedicated to more wildlife watching. Before sunset, you will be taken Tarangire Sopa Lodge for overnight. Dinner, breakfast, lunch
After breakfast you will leave the area around Tarangire National Park and head to the multicultural village of MtowaMbu. From here you will travel on a spectacular and very bumpy gravel road along the Rift Valley Escarpment with OlDoinyoLengai “the holy mountain” of the Masai in the distance. Today’s destination is the typical Masai village of NgareSero in the hot and dusty. Dinner and overnight at Lake-Natron-Tented-Camp. Dinner, breakfast, lunch
Full day to explore the area: Lake Natron (Flamingoes!), hike to a waterfall in a deep gorge, visit a Maasai village etc. If you are up to the challenge and a very strenuous climb, you can opt for a climb to OlDoinyoLengai volcano.
After an early start after breakfast, you will travel along adventurous dirt tracks with breath-taking views as your vehicle climbs out of the Rift Valley to reach the grassy plains of the Serengeti by midday. Serengeti means “endless plains” in the language of the Maasai and you will see the grassland savannah stretching to the horizon. The Serengeti is the most famous park in Tanzania and it is home to the largest animal migration on the planet – hundreds of thousands of animals trek to find fresh grass and water. You will overnight at Lobo Wildlife Lodge. Dinner, breakfast, lunch
The entire days is dedicated to game viewing in the Serengeti National Park. You will either go on a full day game drive or join early morning and afternoon drives in the Seronera area. Between December and May huge herds of wildebeests and zebras will be seen, with calves and foals being born between January and March. The Seronera area is also the best place to spot the shy and nocturnal leopard. You will spend the night at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge. Dinner, breakfast, lunch
The morning is set aside for another game drive in the Serengeti and you might spot some creatures that you haven’t seen yet. Animals tend to be more active in the morning before the temperatures soar around midday. After lunch, you will leave the plains of the Serengeti and travel to the highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge directly on the Ngorongoro Crater’s edge with a view over the collapsed volcano. It is a perfect spot to enjoy a sundowner at sunset. Dinner, breakfast, lunch
Rise and shine! It is up at daybreak to take on the steep path leading down into the 600 m deep crater. The slopes are forested but soon the landscape changes to savannah with the occasional acacia tree here and there. The wildlife in the crater is just breath-taking and with a little luck you might see the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. You should also see warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, hippos and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area. After an entire morning of game viewing and a picnic lunch in the crater, you will travel to Lake Manyara escarpment where you will overnight at Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge. Dinner, breakfast, Lunch
After lovely breakfast we leave for Lake Manyara National park for a day game with picnic lunch boxes, This Park with its shallow alkaline lake stretches along the base of the Rift Valley Escarpment. Lake Manyara attracts thousands of birds, including huge flocks of flamingos. Other animals in the park include buffaloes, elephants, hippos and Masai giraffes as well as troops of boisterous baboons and monkeys in the forests. The park once became famous for tree climbing lions and if you are lucky to spot them you will be amused by the site of these animals lounging on branches in the acacia trees. After a game drive in the park you will ascend to the Ngorongoro highlands, where you will overnight on a campsite situated on the crater’s edge with magnificent views of the caldera below. Late afternoon drive to Arusha for overnight at the mount Meru Hotel. Dinner, breakfast
After a leisurely breakfast, you will be taken to Arusha city tour walk, after lunch you will be transferred to Kia Lodge where the day use room will be provided for refreshing before boarding your home bound flight.
